Rutting
Rotaflex
is used in conjunction with a modified bitumen bond coat to prevent and reduce rutting in pavements subject to intense
wheel loading and high ambient temperatures
(e.g. bus lanes, approaches to cross roads,
traffic lights and car parks).
▪
Lean concrete roadbase
This
is perhaps the most frequent problem faced by
Highway Engineers. The Rotaflex glass
fibre grid is used in resurfacing of roads with
a lean concrete base. Rotaflex is laid
below the new asphalt overlay to provide crack
control, reinforcement and waterproofing.
▪
Economical resurfacing
The
increased overlay life using Rotaflex can save
one or more future overlays. This saves time,
disruption and 75% of long term cost over a 20
year period. Alternatively, short term savings
can be made by reduced overlay thickness and
avoidance of kerb raising and threshold
problems. |
