Erosalog
& Erosaplat
provide protection to the toe of riverbanks to retain
backfill material and plant development. For use in areas of
water scour or boat wash. Erosalog is a large
diameter densely packed flexible log of coir fibre.
Erosaplat is a thick quilted mattress of coir fibre.
They are usually used in combination to reform water margins
and wetland areas. Typically the Erosalog is fixed
at the water edge and the Erosaplat is placed and
fixed in the flood plane behind. Coir absorbs many times its
own weight of water and this creates the ideal protected
habitat for reed and other water margin plants. |
